ABOUT US

OUR story:

Exercise for All (EfA) is a Community Association campaigning and fundraising for better access to inclusive fitness and self-managed exercise in the community for the long term disabled. EfA believes that allowing disabled people to have equal access to exercise in community facilities across Wales would result in better health outcomes and help end social isolation. Public fitness facilities are available for the wider population, but there are significant barriers, which discriminate against people with a disability. Disabled people in Wales are disadvantaged by this exclusion that prevents them from managing their own health and well-being. Research shows that exercise helps people to avoid secondary illnesses, but people with a disability are often excluded from public facilities and equipment, which would enable them to keep themselves fit and well both physically and mentally.
